Nancy Brown graduated from the 3000 hour massage program in 2004 from the West Coast School of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, B.C. She was a Registered Nurse for 9 years and a White Water rafting guide for 18 summers before becoming an R.M.T. She has always been interested in preventative medicine, and is interested in a holistic approach. The state of our minds is key in our healing. She uses myofascial techniques, trigger point techniques and craniosacral in her treatments depending on what is needed given individual clients needs. She has trained with Upledger in CS1 CS2 Somato Emotional Release 1 and 2 and has used this modality since graduation. Craniosacral therapy can help your nervous system get into the rest and digest mode out of the fight and flight mode. It can help alleviate tail bone or jaw pain and can assist in reducing P.T.S.D. in some cases by assisting the nervous system to relax. Tail bone pain, back pain, neck pain, shoulders all benefit from a combination treatment again depending on the individual client and what is causing the issue(s). Ergonomics, improving strength, stretching exercises are key for long term success for ailments.
